Temporary Membership Card

Already a Zoo member, but you can’t access, or haven't yet received, your digital membership card? Don't wait in line at the Zoo! Just complete the form below, and we will instantly e-mail you a temporary membership card good for the next three weeks. Please be aware that if you have just placed your order, it may take up to 48 hours to request a temporary card.

You will need to show a Photo ID matching what is on your temporary membership card at the gate when you visit.

  • Q: What information do I need to put in the form above?
    A: You need to provide the e-mail address and zip code that we already have on-file for you, along with your last name. You need to have access to that e-mail address now as that's where we will send your temporary membership card.

  • Q: What if I didn't provide an e-mail address when I signed up, don't remember it, or it has changed?
    A: If you didn't give us an E-mail address when you joined, or that e-mail address has changed, you'll need to contact Membership Services at 216.635.3329 to update your information with us before you can get a new card. Without an e-mail addrees, you cannot use this temporary card system, and will need to bring a Photo ID to the Membership Booth at the Zoo's main Welcome Plaza in order to be looked up in our database before you enter the Zoo.

  • Q: What if there is more than one person or name on my membership?
    A: Each membership has one Primary member, generally the person who signed up for the membership. If your spouse, children or other persons are listed on your membership, and have a different last name or address, you will need to provide the Last Name and Zip Code for the primary member to create a temporary membership card. If you do not have this information available, contact Membership Services at 216.635.3329.

  • Q: What if my membership was a gift, or is part of a Corporate Membership?
    A: In most cases, we won't know your e-mail address if you didn't sign up for your membership yourself, or specifically give it to us later. But to use the temporary card stystem, we need an e-mail address on file. Give our Membership Office a call at 216.635.3329 and let us know your primary e-mail address. We'll update our records, and you'll be able to use our online systems immediately!

  • Q: What if I need to change my mailing address (including zip code) or name?
    A: If your membership information has changed, we'll be happy to update that for you. Just call at 216.635.3329, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Q: Is my temporary membership card valid at reciprocal zoos that honor my Cleveland Zoological Society membership?
    A: Membership card acceptance is at the discretion of the reciprocating zoo. We recommend showing your permanent card (with a photo ID) and encourage calling ahead to confirm their policies. If you cannot find your permanent membership card, please contact our office at 216.635.3329 or email info@clevelandzoosociety.org to have the information resent to you.
